How the pages on this site are researched and checked, what we can speak to from building the tool, how corrections are handled, and how the site is funded.
Last updated · Published by TeraDownloader
This site publishes two kinds of writing: documentation of a tool we built and run, and guides to using TeraBox. The standards differ, so both are described below, along with how to tell us when we get something wrong.
What we speak to from direct experience
The downloader is ours, and what this site says about using it comes from building it and testing it against real TeraBox shares, not from reading other people's articles. Some examples of what that means in practice, because "we have experience" is worth nothing as an assertion:
- File sizes are TeraBox's own figures, checked against the file. The size shown for each file comes from TeraBox, and we checked it against the file actually delivered: they match to the byte.
- Quality options are what TeraBox has made. The player lists the streaming versions TeraBox has for a video. Where two quality labels turn out to be the same version, it is shown once rather than offered twice.
- Limits are stated as they are. The 200-file listing cap, the rate limits and the player's 200 MB fallback limit are the real figures, and the pages that mention them change when they do.
Where a technical claim cannot be checked that way, it is not made. There are no speed promises, no success-rate percentages and no "fastest downloader" claims. Download speed in particular is set by TeraBox: in our own testing it varied from tens of kilobytes to several megabytes a second for the same file.
How guides about TeraBox are written
We do not control TeraBox, so a guide to its app or website is reporting rather than documentation. The rules we hold ourselves to:
- Checked against the real thing. Steps are followed in TeraBox's own app and website, and behaviour is tested against live shares, before it is described.
- Everything is dated. Menus move and features differ between app versions. Each page states when it was published and last updated, so you can judge how far to trust it.
- No invented statistics. If a number cannot be traced to something we measured or a source worth citing, it is left out.
- Behaviour that changed is described as changed. When the way this site works changes, the pages that describe it say what changed and when, rather than quietly presenting only the new state.
Who writes this
Pages are published by TeraDownloader rather than under individual bylines, and the organisation is accountable for them. We would rather attribute honestly to the publisher than attach an invented author with invented credentials.
There is currently one guide on the blog. Each page carries its publication date, its last-updated date, and a link back to this policy.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we want to know, and a specific report is far more useful than a general one. Email hello@teradownloader.dev with the page and the claim you are disputing.
How corrections are handled:
- Factual errors are fixed in place, and the page's last-updated date changes so its timestamp reflects the edit.
- Substantive changes are noted on the page rather than silently overwritten, where the earlier wording could have led someone to act on it. The privacy policy's October 2026 update, which makes clear that files you save are delivered by TeraBox, is an example.
- Routine staleness is not annotated. When TeraBox moves a menu and we update a step, the date moves and that is all.
Funding and independence
Verifiable from the site itself:
- No advertising. The site shows no ads and loads no ad code.
- No affiliate links. Nothing here earns a commission when you click it.
- No sponsored or paid placement. No page, mention or link has been paid for, and we do not sell any.
- No paid tier. Every feature is free, and none is held back behind a payment.
- No analytics, and no data to sell. There are no accounts and no tracking scripts. The privacy policy lists everything that is kept, and for how long.
If any of this changes — advertising, affiliate links, or paid placement — it will be disclosed on this page and in the privacy policy before it appears, and labelled where it appears.
What we cannot promise
Stating the limits is part of being trustworthy about the rest:
- TeraBox changes things without notice. A page accurate on the day it was written can be wrong a month later. The dates on each page are there so you can judge.
- We are not affiliated with TeraBox. Nothing here is official documentation, and we have no channel to TeraBox or Flextech Inc. beyond what they publish.
- This is not legal advice. Pages describe copyright in general terms because the topic is unavoidable when discussing downloads. A specific situation needs a lawyer, not a download page.
