How TeraDownloader handles copyright complaints, what withholding a share here does, and why removing it at TeraBox is the complete remedy.

Published · Last updated · Published by TeraDownloader

We respect copyright and expect users of this service to do the same. This page explains what we host, what we can act on, and where a takedown will actually have an effect.

What this service hosts

Nothing. TeraDownloader stores no video, image, audio, or document files. Every file stays on TeraBox: a file someone saves is delivered by TeraBox's own servers, and a video someone plays is streamed for viewing without being stored. No library, index, catalogue, or archive of content is kept.

We also do not host or operate a search. There is no way to browse or discover shares here — the tool does nothing at all until someone supplies a link they already have.

If your work is being shared without permission

We recognise that a substantial amount of what circulates as TeraBox share links was uploaded without the rights holder's consent. If that includes your work, the steps that actually help are:

  1. File with TeraBox. They host the file and are the only party who can remove it.
  2. File with anywhere the link is being posted. Forums, channels, and social accounts distributing the link are themselves distributing your work, and most have their own complaint processes.
  3. Send us the share link if you want it withheld here as well. See below for what that does.

What we do with a valid notice

We withhold the share from this service. Once it is withheld:

  • Looking it up here is refused, whoever asks and from wherever.
  • Downloading any file from it through this site is refused.
  • Playing any video from it is refused — including player links that were opened before the notice arrived.
  • Anyone who tries is told the share has been withheld following a copyright notice.

We confirm to you when it is done. What withholding cannot do is remove the file from TeraBox, or stop someone who has the link from opening it on TeraBox or elsewhere — which is why the first step above matters most.

Filing a notice with us

If you want us to act, send a written notice including all of the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • The TeraBox share link, or links, at issue — copied in full, so we can identify the exact share.
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

Send notices to copyright@teradownloader.dev, listed alongside our other routes on the contact page. We review every complete notice. A notice missing one of the elements above cannot be acted on, and we will tell you which one is missing.

Misrepresentation

Knowingly filing a false or bad-faith notice can carry legal liability, including costs and attorneys' fees. Please be sure of your claim before filing.

Counter-notice

If a share was withheld as a result of a notice and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address with your signature, identification of the share, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was withheld in error, your contact details, and consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court. We forward it to the person who filed the original notice, and restore the share unless they tell us they have started legal action.

Repeat infringement

We rate-limit and block access from addresses used for abusive or repeated infringing activity, and shares withheld after a valid notice stay withheld.
