About TeraDownloader
What TeraDownloader is, how to use it, and the things it deliberately refuses to do.
Published · Last updated · Published by TeraDownloader
TeraDownloader does one thing: it takes a Terabox share link and gives you a plain list of the files inside it, with real sizes, that you can save or play. That is the whole product. There is no dashboard, no library, no companion app, and no second feature waiting behind an upgrade prompt.
Why it exists
Terabox is a perfectly reasonable place to put files. Getting them back out is where it turns unpleasant. The browser experience pushes you toward the app; the app puts free accounts behind queues, speed caps, and an ad before the file. If somebody sent you a link, you are asked to install something to open it.
The tools that filled that gap mostly made the trade worse — an interstitial ad before the download, a fake progress bar, a "premium" button, or a form asking for your Terabox login. None of that is necessary, and it can all be done without collecting anything about the person asking.
How you use it
- Paste a share link. Links from terabox.com and its mirror domains are accepted. Anything that is not a TeraBox share link is refused.
- See every file. The share's files are listed with their exact sizes and preview images, and shared folders appear as a tree, up to three levels deep.
- Save or play. Download a file to your device — it is delivered by TeraBox — or play a video in your browser, in the quality you choose.
The privacy policy sets out what happens to your information along the way, including what TeraBox receives.
What we refuse to do
Nothing is stored
Files stay on TeraBox. Downloads are delivered by TeraBox, and videos you play are streamed for viewing, never saved. There is no archive of files to leak, sell, or hand over.
Nothing is tracked
No accounts, no cookies, no analytics scripts, no ads or ad pixels. The only things kept on your device are your theme preference and, until you close the tab, the share you last opened.
Nothing is altered
No re-compression, no watermark, and no repackaging. The file you download is the file TeraBox holds; the player shows TeraBox's own streaming version, untouched.
Nothing is gated
No sign-up wall, no download queue, no countdown timer, no ad before the file, and no paid tier holding the fast option hostage.
The limits, stated plainly
A page like this usually lists strengths and stops. These are the boundaries worth knowing before you rely on the tool:
- Shared links only. A file that has not been shared is not publicly served, so reaching it would mean signing in as its owner. That is a boundary we keep on purpose. If it is your own file, share it with yourself and paste that link.
- 200 files, three folders deep. Larger shares are listed partially, and the page says so. Copy the link of the subfolder you want for a complete list.
- Some videos cannot be streamed. When TeraBox has no streaming version of a video, the player falls back to the original file, and that only works for files up to 200 MB. Larger files are worth downloading instead.
- TeraBox's speed is TeraBox's speed. We remove the app's queues and countdowns, but a download runs at whatever rate TeraBox gives it, which varies. Smoother, not magically faster.
- It depends on a service we do not control. TeraBox can change how shares work at any time, and when it does, lookups can break until this tool is updated.
- Requests are rate limited. Twenty lookups a minute per address, with higher limits for downloads and playback, so the service stays available for everyone.
Who we are not
Using what you download
A share link is not a licence. Whoever created a file owns it, and downloading a copy does not transfer that. This matters more here than on most sites: a great deal of what circulates as Terabox links is films, courses, books, and albums posted without the rights holder's consent. Getting your own files out, and keeping content you have permission to keep, is the intended use. If you did not make it and you were not licensed it, it is someone else's property.
How it is run
No ads, no affiliate links, no sponsored content, and no paid tier. How what we publish is checked and corrected, and how the site is funded, is set out in the editorial policy.
